The Word of God clearly places the responsibility for the education of children with the parents. “And ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture (discipline) and admonition (instruction) of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4) To help parents fulfill this responsibility, God has raised up the Christian school. The placing of your child in Fellowship Baptist Academy evidences your understanding of this responsibility and your willingness to follow God’s command.
Fellowship Baptist Academy was founded in 1995 to help the members of Fellowship Baptist Church in the training of their children. However, In recent years, those who attend other Bible-believing churches have been allowed to attend as well.
Enrollment for non-members are considered on a case-by-case basis. The Lord has sent us several outstanding students from other local congregations and we consider it an honor to partner with parents in the training of their children.
All of our teachers are born-again Christians who have been called by God to the teaching ministry. They are dedicated to helping you “train up a child in the way he should go.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Fellowship Baptist Academy is a traditional school K4-12th grade. It has grown steadily from 36 students in 1996 to over 160 students in 2018.

Freedom Summer Day Camp has been a successful ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church for the last two years, and we are looking forward to another summer of serving you and your family. Due to the unprecedented times that we are living in, a few adjustments will be made to the program in order to comply with the guidelines that the state of North Carolina and Durham County have put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Further adjustments may be made as the level of restrictions are hopefully lessened throughout the summer.
FSDC is a day camp program that is available for children from 1st-8th grade. Every day is constructed to have a Bible lesson and song time, a time for academic practice, and plenty of time for games, crafts, and assorted other fun and memorable activities. Occasional field trips are made as well. Any trips for this summer will be arranged and announced at a later date in light of the current circumstances.
As of right now, we will be accepting registration for children of essential workers. During phases 2 and 3 of the governor’s “opening up” plan, we will be open to accepting other children as well. If you do not currently fall under the category of “essential worker”, but you feel that you will want to take advantage of the day camp at some point this summer, you may feel free to register now to secure a spot in the program. The fee for registration is $30. If the restrictions continue and you are unable to use the program, we will be happy to refund your registration fee. Our times of operation are 7:30 AM-5:30 PM Monday through Friday of each week.
