I'm New

Welcome!

Thanks so much for stopping by our website. Whether you are just curious or you really want to know more about our ministry, I am delighted that you paid us a visit. I hope that you’ll enjoy learning more about the great work that God is doing here at Fellowship Baptist Church.

I would love to have the opportunity to meet you personally. Please allow me to extend you an invitation to visit one of our services. I believe you will enjoy the music. I hope that the preaching will meet the spiritual needs that you have in your life. I know that you’ll meet some of the finest people in the world. Serving with the folks who make up the Fellowship Baptist Church is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Please let us know if we can help you in any way. If your questions aren’t answered while visiting our site, feel free to call the church office to speak with someone personally.

What to Expect

Everyone who comes to Fellowship is invited to participate in the different services, classes, and activities that we offer. Our desire is that every person feels at home. We offer a place for people who are seeking to live a life for Christ, those who have lost their way in life, and everyone in between. We want every service to be a time of sincere worship to God for every believer. We want every class to be a time of spiritual growth. We want every activity to be a time of fun fellowship with other believers.

Adults are invited to be a part of our Adult Connect Groups. This is a place where every adult can gather with other adults in a similar life stage and study the Bible together. These classes meet every Sunday at 9:30AM. To connect with one of these groups, visit our adult ministry page here.

Teens gather together every Sunday morning for an exciting Bible study with other teens in the church. The teachers are men and women who love the young people at Fellowship and have a desire to help them grow in their spiritual life. For more information, visit our youth ministry page here.

Children at Fellowship are offered many different ways to develop a relationship with Christ and with other kids in the church. Sunday school classes meet every Sunday at 9:30AM. Qualified teachers who will care for the children take time to teach practical Bible lessons that they can understand. The nurseries provide a clean and fun environment for your little ones while you enjoy our classes and services. We also offer clubs and activities year-round at Fellowship. To find out more, visit our children’s ministry page here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does your church believe?

Our church identifies as an independent, fundamental Baptist church. We are independent meaning we are independent from any hierarchy or organization that would govern the way our church operates. We are fundamental meaning that we believe the fundamental doctrines found in Scripture. For our beliefs on specific doctrines of the Bible see our beliefs page here.

  • How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Fellowship. Our ministry leaders and much of our church family dress in a more traditional Sunday dress, but we want everyone who visits our church to feel comfortable and welcome.

  • Will I be expected to give in the offering?

Although you are welcome to give if you feel led to do so, we do not require anyone to give in the offering. We do believe that Christians should give financially to the work of God, but we simply want our service to be a gift to you and a time where you can worship through the music and the preaching.

  • How long are your services?

All of our services usually last about one hour in length.

  • Are your services livestreamed?

You can view our livestream here. You can also go to youtube.com/fbcofdurham/live.

When You Arrive

Although there are only two buildings on our church campus, it may be difficult for a first-time guest to find their way around. When you arrive on our campus, follow the signs to the guest parking area. From there you can enter at the front entrance and meet our greeters at the welcome center. Our greeters will show you where the nursery, classes and sanctuary are.
